SpringLight Motorhomes is a Christchurch-based motorhome hire business. Our bookings are completed securely online, with payment, damage cover, roadside assistance and booking support managed through the booking platform.

You still deal with us directly for your vehicle handover, local advice and practical trip support.

Before your pickup

Before your hire starts, check your booking details, pickup time and travel plans. It is also worth thinking about your first night, especially if this is your first time travelling by motorhome in New Zealand.

We recommend booking a campground or holiday park for your first night. That gives you time to settle in, plug into power if needed, and get familiar with the vehicle before heading further into the South Island.

Christchurch pickup and handover

At pickup, we will show you around the motorhome and explain how everything works. This usually includes the power, water, heating, fridge, gas, toilet, shower, waste water, awning if fitted, and general driving tips.

Even if you have hired a campervan before, every vehicle is slightly different. A proper handover helps you leave Christchurch feeling confident.

Late-model, comfortable vehicles

We specialise in clean, modern and well-presented motorhomes. Many of our vehicles are late-model and low-mileage, which helps make your trip more comfortable and reliable.

Our aim is to provide a vehicle that feels cared for, not tired or worn out.

Support during your trip

If you have a practical question during your hire, you can contact us for help. Camplify also provides booking support and roadside assistance options as part of the booking process.

Returning to our Christchurch base

At the end of your trip, the motorhome is returned to our Christchurch base at the agreed time.

We recommend planning your final night reasonably close to Christchurch so your return day feels relaxed rather than rushed. This gives you time to refuel, pack up properly and enjoy the last part of your trip without stress.

If you are heading to Christchurch Airport after returning the motorhome, we can usually drop you back to the airport afterwards. Just let us know your flight details or onward travel plans so we can confirm what works best.
